Tranmere story
Barry Alfred Siddall is an English former goalkeeper from Ellesmere Port. He began his Football League career with Bolton Wanderers before a long spell at Sunderland, which included loans with Darlington and Vancouver Whitecaps.
Siddall went on to play for Port Vale, Blackpool and Stoke City, and joined Tranmere Rovers on loan from Stoke in 1985. He later represented Manchester City, Blackpool, Stockport County, Hartlepool United, Carlisle United, Chester City and Preston North End. His 21-year Football League career included more than 600 appearances.
